Call for Proposals (General) Now Open
Call for Proposals Now Open
The general Call for Proposals (CFP) for Frontend Conference Fukuoka 2026 is now open as of Monday, May 11, 2026. Below you’ll find details on how to apply, the submission period, and where to direct your questions.
Overview
Under the theme “Engaging deeply with the future of frontend,” this conference brings together experts from various technical fields for in-depth talks and dialogue.
There will be no lightning talks. Instead, we plan to run 3 parallel tracks of category-based sessions, each 45–60 minutes long (including AMA). You may give your talk in either Japanese or English (no simultaneous interpretation will be provided).
The main session categories we have in mind are as follows:
- CSS
- Accessibility
- HTML
- Web API
- Performance
- Ecosystem / Tooling
- Design & Engineering
- Architecture
- Testing
- Web Standards
We also welcome a wide range of topics related to web frontend beyond the categories listed above.
How to Apply
Please submit your proposal via GitHub Issues. Use the template below to create a new proposal as an issue.
For details on the review and selection process after submission, please refer to the Call for Proposals Workflow on the Wiki. If anything is missing from your template, we’ll send feedback as a comment.
Speaker Information
Detailed information for speakers is summarized in the Speaker Info Dock. We recommend reviewing it before applying. The main points are:
- Session length: 45–60 minutes per slot (including Q&A)
- Title and abstract submission guideline: Since we want speakers to convey what they most want to share at the time of the talk, you may continue editing your proposal issue and its content up until just before your talk. However, we ask that you provisionally finalize the title and abstract for the official website by the time ticket sales begin (planned for July 1, 2026). (For applicants going through the open CFP selection, we recommend finalizing the content at the time of submission, as it will be used for selection.)
- Recording and archive publication: Only sessions for which speakers have given consent at the time of application will be recorded and archived publicly. Note that publishing slide materials is not required.
Upcoming Schedule
The currently planned speaker-related schedule is as follows:
